Nick Dempsey is welcomed as a W4CR Ambassador by David Tuttlebee
Nick Dempsey RSX World Champion and Olympic Team Windsurfer (bronze medalist in 2004 & Silver in London 2012) originally met with W4CR founder David Tuttlebee and Nick agreed to act as an Ambassador for the charity.
David said, "Nick will help raise awareness of W4CR throughout his travel and competition and will share his experiences through a blog on the W4CR website. To have the UK's windsurfing Olympiad as an Ambassador is fantastic and, supported by his wife, Sarah (a gold medalist in the 2008 Olympics) I know that they will be promoting the charity at every opportunity (and even his 7 month old boy can wear a W4CR fleece soon)".
Nick said, ‘’I am very pleased to become an Ambassador and provide my support whether I am at home in the UK or abroad for W4CR. My role will be to help raise both awareness and the profile of W4CR. W4CR’s fundraising is supporting cancer research, while also providing education and support for people living with cancer. "
W4CR were at the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show Alexandra Palace, London 5-6 March 2011 to launch Sunrise Sunset 2011 as the lead event for National Windsurfing Week. Nick Dempsey gave his support to the charity and signed several of our new Sunrise Sunset 2011 shirts.
